It’s a Wonderful Life is a classic Christmas film from 1946 that’s considered one of the greatest ever made. The story follows George Bailey and his guardian angel, Clarence, who shows him what life would be like had he never been born after a major financial mishap leaves him feeling hopeless and dejected. SPOILERS: In the end, George learns all the ways he’s touched the lives of the people in his town. It’s all a beautiful story up until the very end, when the appreciative townspeople, along with George’s very wealthy industrialist friend, all throw in enough money to make up for the money that was initially lost. Our criticism is this: Life never works out that way. In fact, that detail is so unrealistic that, in our opinion, it distracts from the rest of the movie. Disclaimer: The movie is a classic and you should definitely still watch it.
